Peer-to-peer communication is one feature of the Quantum 140NOE77100. It is also manufactured to provide I/O scanning and acts as a Modbus / TCP server. This module is able to include HTTP services. These services aid in maintenance as well as configuration capabilities. 

The primary features of the Schneider Electric 140NOE77100 include provisions.  It is enabled with a full-duplex capable twisted shield port with integrated 10/100 BASE-TX. It has a full-duplex capable fiber optic port that is integrated with a 100BASE-FX multimode. The Quantum 140 NOE 771 00 includes an embedded HTTP server as well as a BOOTP client and server. Another feature of the 140 NOE 771 00 is the SNMP V2 agent. The 10/100BASE-T Connector provides an RJ–45 receptacle. The RJ–45 receptacle is for a shielded, twisted-pair Ethernet cable connection.
